The
British Brands Group
- the voice
for brands
|
|
The
British Brands Group promotes brands and the benefits they deliver
to consumers, society and the economy. It focuses its work primarily
on those in the UK who make and shape public policy. By
building an ever-better understanding of how brands "tick", an
environment may be developed that enables brands to deliver greater
consumer choice, value, and economic success.
While
building a deeper understanding of brands is the Group's primary
role, it also represents its members collectively when regulatory or
commercial issues arise that may inhibit the ability of brands to
deliver their benefits. In such instances, the Group provides a
strong, collective voice to champion the brand. In addition,
the Group provides the prime forum for its members on brand-related
issues.
Founded
in 1994, the British Brands Group is the only organisation in the UK
with a focus on the manufactured brand. It is a non-profit making
membership organisation open to all brand manufacturers in the UK and is part of a network of similar brand
associations across Europe and around the world. It represents
the UK on AIM, the European Brands Association based in Brussels.
Group
members comprise the manufacturers of brands that are familiar,
trusted and bought every day across the country by millions of
consumers. Their brands are the prime assets of these companies.
Member companies range in size and cover sectors including food,
drink, household goods, toiletries, healthcare, DIY, clothing,
sports goods and industrial products.
