The Intellectual Property Institute has existed for a quarter of a century, to investigate all aspects of IP law and practice. In particular, the Institute is concerned with promoting a true understanding of how the IP system is working; the effects it is having on business, economics and our society at large. The aims of the Institute are captured in our mission statement: “We aim to promote awareness and understanding of intellectual property law, and its contribution to economic and social welfare, through high quality, independent research. We aim to provide knowledge and expertise for industry, policy makers, professionals and the general public, in order to foster a legal, social and regulatory climate that supports an innovation-based economy.” The Institute publishes research over a wide range of IP-related subjects, as well as publishing its own journal, the IP Quarterly. We hold regular seminars and events throughout the year, addressing topical issues of IP law, management and practice. for more information, please see our website or contact us:information on all IPI events, publications and membership can be obtained from:
