1. The information in the IPAN website is provided as a service to the public given in good faith to help awareness and understanding of IP matters by the collective membership of the Intellectual Property Awareness Network as listed in the site.  

2. The IPAN website may be freely used for personal and general non-commercial educational purposes and the use of hyperlinks to the IPAN website is actively encouraged in external websites.

3. The content of the website is reviewed regularly by the IPAN website panel comprising the Chairman, Secretary and Webmaster and two other representatives from the IPAN membership.  Any views expressed in the IPAN website, for example in the IPAN issue briefs, are provided for guidance only and are not binding on Network members or necessarily shared by all members of the Network.

4. None of the information provided in the IPAN website constitutes legal advice and appropriate professional help must be sought if definitive advice is needed - see, for example, these sources.

5. The Network makes reasonable efforts to evaluate hyperlinks to, and extracts from, non-IPAN websites but cannot guarantee the validity of the links and does not necessarily endorse any of the statements or opinions expressed in such external sites. 

6. A limited licence is given to reproduce for non-commercial purposes the IPAN copyright material, for example the IPAN issue briefs,   provided this is done in an unedited form and with a suitable acknowledgement to IPAN and a link to the IPAN website.

7. The IPAN logo and trademark is the property of the Intellectual Property Institute (held in trust for IPAN) and may not be used without permission of the IPI except in conjunction with IPAN material, such as the IPAN issue briefs.
